Once you have completed your profile you are free to go ahead and searc the site for a potential partner, now some of the better search based systems wil try to match you based on you physical preferences that you were asked when you signed yup and will bring you a list of the profiles that seem to fit your basic criteria.

However the main emphasis is on you searching the database for the type of person that you want to find, this is done by using a search form that asks questions about the person that you are looking for for example age, location, race and habits. This information is fed into the system and then you are presented with a list of postential leads to pursue in your own time.
